Matthew 24:3-13

3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Revelation 6 – The First Four Seals

1 I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” 2 I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.

3 When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” 4 Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword.

5 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. 6 Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Birth pains increase in intensity and frequency over time. This video illustrates that in a very powerful way just by looking at the last 100 years. Confirming bible prophecy is not the purpose of this video but it certainly does a good job of showing it in one 10 minute video.

Now I know he was talking March with his “prediction” but what he has to say about celestial events and earthquakes adds some more credibility to my last post where I theorized that something significant could happen between June 1 and June 15. One idea I have been researching is that it could be a major North America Earthquake. Apparently I am not the only one thinking that. I also read on another site someone who talked about planetary alignment and the possibility of a June 9 or June 13 earthquake.

NOW I WANT TO BE CLEAR, I AM NOT PREDICTING THIS NOR AM I SAYING “GOD TOLD ME…” BUT WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE TIMES WE LIVE IN.

The birth pains of matthew 24 are getting more intense and to me this is another example of that. Also the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association) just issued its june report on the upcoming Atlantic Hurricane season and they are predicting an above average year for hurricane activity with the possiblity of 5 major hurricanes (Cat. 3, 4, or 5)

Again, I am just observing and putting pieces together… Some may say it’s just coincidence… I don’t believe in that… I believe in God-Incidence – God orchestrates everything according to His design and we are told to be observant and aware of the times.

Please… Family, friends, new comers to my blog…. Just be ready, if I’m wrong on all this – Great, I’m wrong… But if I’m not – well – May God protect us all through whatever comes our way…

One thing the Muslims believe is that they can bring about the return of the Mahdi by creating chaos and calamity around the world. What we currently see in the middle east is those beliefs playing out.

This documentary apparently spells out what they need to do to conquer the world and wipe Israel of the map. I have not seen this documentary but am getting this information from source I trust.

What does this mean for us? It means that we are on the brink of witnessing biblical prophecy unfold before our eyes. My question for you is…are you ready for that? Do you know the Truth, do you know it so well that you can discern deception from the truth of God?

The end times, no matter how it plays out, is going to be a time filled with deception from the father of lies himself. Are you prepared?

The next few posts are going to focus on what the bible says about the foundation we need to be in a position to discern truth from deception. Please make sure you read them and pass them on to everyone you know and love.

The end times will be like nothing we have ever experienced in America before and we need to be prepared both physically and spiritually.

Today a massive 8.9 earthquake hit Japan… This is the largest earthquake in the last 300 years. 300 YEARS… WOW…

Please pray for the pain and suffering in Japan that is sure to continue for a long time to come. The damage and resulting Tsunami is insane. Look at the video footage on CNN – you see the wave come on shore and destroy everything in its path…

Please pray today for them….

Many people say they believe in God but do they really because if they did you would expect that it would have a profound impact on how they live their life and people would notice.

How about you? If you fall into that 84% can people tell from the way you live? The commitment you have to following Him?

Last night and this morning I’ve have read and heard about Billy ray cyrus’ honest GQ article, and my heart was moved again for that family. What I’ve heard about the article connected with me as a fellow father… We all want the best for our family, We all make mistakes, and many of us have been in his position albeit not on this scale.

As Christians, we need to pull together and pray for those with “runaway” kids.
I would ask that you join me today and pray for the entire Cyrus family. Pray that God would convict Miley and that He would guide her out of the pit she’s fallen into. Pray for Billy Ray as he tries to become the better parent he desires to be. Finally for the family as a whole that God will utilize this situation to reach them and grow their individual relationships with Him.

I guess a bit of parental reality hit me…

Eventually they do grow up and becoming independent and that is not as easy to deal with as one might think…

“I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.”

As I read this scripture this morning, it struck me as a parent. As I work to grow kids into Godly adults, I wonder if I am doing a good enough job in this area of forgiving much.

I will be honest forgiving is not something I am strong at. But then if I am being really honest, I have struggled the last few months, dare I say years, at being the kind of Dad that my kids really need.

I have never really thought the two, forgiveness and much love, were connected though. On those days when I hold grudges against kids who don’t listen or are disrespectful, I do notice I get little love in return. But on those “shining moments” when I honest forgive them and express that to them, the response far exceeds what I would expect.

So what I am taking away seems to be that loving and forgiving does return far more love than holding grudge or hiding my feelings. Imagine that, God’s Word applying directly to a situation – duh! of course…

What are your thoughts about parenting and the extent one should forgive their kids even in the face of disrespect?

I’ve heard similar statements before but maybe it hit me because of where I’m at now…whatever the reason, it’s an important reminder for us all
