Actually the whole article is really good and hit me exactly where I’m at today. But this quote… wow…When God calls us to His mission, we can’t expect comfortable and easy. Anything worth being blessed with requires work and commitment on our end.

Love well…laugh often…live for Jesus

Really that is what life should be all about. Simple and to the point…

I’ve heard similar statements before but maybe it hit me because of where I’m at now…whatever the reason, it’s an important reminder for us all

We’re made alive in Christ

I spent some time this morning meditating on Ephesians 2:1-10. Some good reminders of the incredible grace of God.

Quick summary:
We are all sinners but because God’s great love for us, He has made us alive in Christ. It is His gift and we just need to receive it.

We are created by God to do what He has prepared for us to do.

Finding Passion for God: Call To Action

Examine your life to see what is hindering your passion for God. Consider ways to carve out time each day to be alone with Him. As you go about your routine, seek His guidance and listen for His voice. You, too, will eventually count everything else as rubbish compared to knowing Christ. (InTouch Magazine, Devotional 4/9/10)

This is an extreme challenge for my crazy hectic life. I do so desire to connect with God and seek his wisdom and guidance every day all day long. But the way this american 21st century life is, that is near impossible. And I am sure I am not alone in this…

But God doesn’t just want us to know him, he wants us to choose him like he daily chooses us. And by choose I mean love because at the heart of choosing to be passionate about something is to love something deeply. I absolutely want to be passionate about God (read Love desperately)…

But it begins with making time with God a priority. Where you spend your time, talents, and money reflects what you truly are passionate about. You can talk all you want but it’s what you actually do that speaks to the real motives of your heart…

Do I carve out time to spend with God alone? No…

Do I spend money in such a way that shows God’s will is a priority in my life? No…

Do I use every talent I have to accomplish what God has called me to do?

Conclusion: I have a lot of work to do in make my relationship with God the priority that I say it is. What about you?

Wondering About The Rapture?

This morning I had an great discussion about the whole end times thing and if that is something that could happen soon. It’s not my place to try to predict when and how God will proceed with His plan for his creation. But if it was to happen soon – would that change what your doing with your life?

I have been convicted by this for months now. If I knew Jesus would return in the next couple months, would that be enough motivation to live my life the way God desires for my life to be lived. I should do that anyway but what would I change if I knew for sure he was coming, say in November (I am not predicting anything here, I just saying…)

Something to think about? What would you do differently, if anything?
