This morning I had the joy of spending some time in God’s Word and was struck by a passage in Psalm 12…
And the words of the Lord are flawless,
like silver purified in a crucible,
like gold refined seven times. You, Lord, will keep the needy safe
and will protect us forever from the wicked, who freely strut about
when what is vile is honored by the human race. (Psalm 12:6-8 NIV)

Over the last three weeks, I have had the opportunity to learn three valuable lessons from three great teachers at Ada bible church. Once again, these are not new things but timely reminders of how we as Christians should be developing our character as we seek a stronger more vibrant walk with God.

I am thankful to God that I have the opportunity to be attending the Global Leadership Summit from the Willow Creek Association via satellite. After day 1, I feel like I was trying to drink water from a fire hose.

Why do we always try to wrestle away control from you? Why can’t we just put our trust in You and rest in the fact that you will take care of us. after all, you take care of the sparrows and feed them. You clothed the lilies of the field. Why should we not expect that you will do the same for us?
Lord help us focus on the fact that you are coming back soon. Keep us from getting so mired in our own worldly mess that we can not see the hope and joy in the expectation of your return.
Jesus calls us to love God and love each other. To support our family, friends, and fellow believers in any way we can during these difficult times. What talents do you bring to the mix? What has God blessed you with the ability to do and are you using it to support the community of believers?
