"Letters To God" – Hope is definitely Contagious

Author: David K | Filed under: Announcements, Life, Ministry, Movies

Last night I had the opportunity to go to a movie screening of the move “Letters To God” http://www.letterstogodthemovie.com

The movie is targeted for a mid march launch and to be honest with you I can’t wait to see it again. Possibility Pictures, other credits include Facing The Giants and Fireproof, have done an incredible job with this film.

SYNOPSIS (from website)

His days had been filled with climbing trees, soccer games, happy pranks on his friends and love from his family. Then one day, 9-year-old Tyler Doherty learned a new word—cancer.

Brady McDaniels’ life was spiraling out of control. The letter carrier had little reason to keep going, until one day he met young Tyler.

The result is Letters to God, an inspiring film about what happens when a beleaguered postman must decide what to do with the prayer letters written by a boy stricken with cancer.

Letters to God is one of the most emotional yet real movies I’ve seen in a long, long time. Jeffery Johnson (Brady) and Robin Lively (Maddy, tyler’s mom) do an awesome job portraying real world struggles with life and faith. But Tanner Maguire (Tyler) did an amazing job. His portrayal of a boy with cancer stood out as stellar in my opinion.

The combination of hope, faith and purpose, leaves one with lots of questions about how God is calling us to make an impact in our world. Not necessarily the world at large but right on our own block. The people we encounter on a daily basis.

Do NOT miss the opportunity to be encouraged and challenged by this incredible movie this march!
